DAO Ideology
StarkPlay DAO is a parent organization that governs all parameters of the games within its ecosystem. The reason for having StarkPlay DAO is so that we can use the revenue from our previous games and the treasury to fund new ideas, research proposals, and community developments. For example, if you want to propose a change to a parameter in CafeCosmos, such as the cooking speed of a certain recipe, or the collateral pricing, there will be a process for submission and community approval.
Progressive Decentralization 🔄
At StarkPlay, we're implementing a form of progressive decentralization. This means we're continuously handing over more control and decision-making power to the community, allowing our DAO to evolve organically and inclusively over time.
Coordination Games & Organizational Design🤝
Our DAO will be built around coordination games, with best practices from organization design in mind. We're designing systems and incentives that encourage participants to engage with the organization and make decisions that benefit the entire community.
Governance Friction Reduction 🛠️
Drawing from both best practices and innovative new approaches, we're constantly working to reduce governance friction, making it easier for community members to participate in decision-making and contribute to the evolution of StarkPlay.
Revenue Streams 💰
Our DAO has several potential revenue streams that we're exploring to create a robust financial foundation:
Bonding Curve Reserve Tap Mechanism: This creates a steady stream of revenue from the reserve of the bonding curve, which could be allocated towards active development.
Bonding Curve Exit Tax: A small fee could be applied when STKRP tokens are sold into the Bonding Curve or Secondary AMM, providing another source of funding.
Land Purchase Tax: A percentage of proceeds from land purchases in CafeCosmos could be directed towards the DAO.
Liquidating STKRP: Selling STKRP into the bonding curve or AMM could provide additional funds (though this would require careful modelling of supply and demand to prevent adverse price impacts).
Partnership & Merchandise Sales: Collaborations with other organizations and sales of StarkPlay merchandise could contribute to the DAO's revenue.
Donations & Grants: As an open-source project, we're also eligible to receive donations and grants that can support our ongoing development and innovation.
