Balancing the economy is a crucial aspect of both Starkplay & CafeCosmos. This document outlines potential strategies and considerations. Just because we can, doesn't mean we should.

In any economy, balancing the creation and destruction of assets is vital. This challenge is amplified in our case, as STKRP isn't only an in-game token but also part of an external ecosystem. We are aware of these challenges and believe we are well-equipped to model, simulate, and prepare for a variety of circumstances.

Scarcity and Risk

Many of our game assets are inflationary. To counter this, we plan to introduce elements of scarcity.

Our goal is to translate real-world market dynamics into our game, creating opportunities for both loss and profit. Over time, we'll introduce innovative dynamics, such as weather events, that provide additional layers of strategy and risk.

Here are some solutions:

  • Time Constraints: Increasing the time certain things take increases the opportunity cst of certain actions.

  • Water Limits: Introducing water scarcity, an essential element for farming & resource gahering.

  • Soil Quality: Not all soil produces crops equally; some may require organic fertilizer.

  • Animal Disease: Animals may get sick and die, or require resource to recover.

  • Varying Climates: Bad climate can affect crop growth and production rates, spells might come in handy here.
